Day 21. The first of many days to come where we begin to “nest” Jack in his stroller so he can start to be able to turn his head and rediscover his body.

Day 20.
Day 20. Second full day at rehab but it’s a Sunday so still haven’t met with doctors to develop a full plan. Jack seems more observant and alert each day but is still being weaned off the medication from the ICU.

Day 19. And day number one at rehab. Two words: culture shock. But at least this little lion is smiling.

Day 18. Last day in the ICU. It’s moving day. After a two hour delay we get transferred and it’s a rough intro to rehab. Jack is restless and agitated and so the next update doesn’t come until after night one at rehab.

Day 17. Seventeenth full day in the ICU. Jack’s much more relaxed, less spastic and agitated.

Day 15. Fifteenth full day in the ICU. We got smiles today!!! Enough said.

Day 14. Fourteenth full day in the ICU. Jack’s body begins to relax more and we are able to move him in the hospital bed to the balcony of the ICU for an hour of fresh air.
