Day 44. Jack has a cold which definitely affects his energy and enthusiasm in therapy. All things considered he is still in good spirits.

Day 43. It was a big day. Great physio session rolling on his own, followed by an important meeting with a team of doctors regarding Jack’s genetic results and therapeutic plan, and an OT session trying out some solids and drinking again.

Day 42. Jack has therapy in the pool, tries drinking water for the first time since the ICU, and I compare where he’s at to the previous week’s baseline I wrote out for myself.

Day 41.

Day 41. Another fun day in town for us. Jack’s much more patient with this recovery than I am and for the first time in 7 weeks Jack gets to sleep without sensors monitoring his vitals. Baby steps every day.

Day 38.

Day 38. Jack’s tummy time is improving but we need to focus on building up his upper body strength and cross-body coordination. His grasp has gotten stronger which is fun because it allows him to actually play. He gets to have both music therapy and a physio session in the pool.
